After the Chapter was opened, the Escorting Officer, E.Comp. Derek Lane, PAGDC, entered and advised the MEZ, E.Comp. Syd Furlonger, PPGSN, that the Deputy Grand Superintendent was in the anti-room and demanded admission to the Chapter. The Deputy Grand Superintendent entered to spontaneous applause, was greeted by the MEZ, accepted the Sceptre and took his seat in the First Principal’s Chair. E.Comp. Alan said how much he was looking forward to his first visit to the Lovekyn Chantry Chapter, after which he introduced the Provincial Officers present. After taking and signing the minutes he invited the MEZ to resume the First Principal’s Chair.

E.Comp. Roger Tutton was installed into the First Principal’s chair by E.Comp. Syd Furlonger. E.Comp. Tim Ford was inducted into the Second Principal’s Chair by E.Comp. Roger Tutton, and Comp. Ted Knight was installed into the Third Principal’s chair by E.Comp. Tim Ford. E Comp. Chris Eley explained the Principals’ Robes and Sceptres.

The Provincial Grand Charity Steward, E.Comp. Mark Watkins, gave an update on the 2019 Festival, as well as the Surrey Royal Arch Tadworth Children’s’ Trust Pegasus Bed appeal.

After the Chapter was closed and the usual photographs taken the Companions of Lovekyn Chantry Chapter and their many guests sat down to a splendid festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.

At the Festive Board the MEZ presented the Deputy Grand Superintendent with a cheque for £100 towards the Pegasus Bed appeal. This was very gratefully received.
