Royal Borough of Kingston Chapter Gains Three New Companions – Feeling Blue!

Front Row: 3 Principals ECs. Phil Harrison, Paul Edser, Ray Chambers; Second: C. Jack Armitstead, C. Geoff Elsbury; Back: OV EC. Norman Woodfin, EC Ian Walker.

In February, Royal Borough of Kingston Chapter 4614 held a Blue Table, according to Provincial Guidelines. Similar in aim to a White Table, except for Chapter, we attracted 11 Masons or unattached Companions, to hear a presentation scripted by Surrey Provincial Chapter on the origins, stories, and meanings of some of Royal Arch rituals and symbols, the first in Surrey! The whole chapter spoke or read various parts detailing our story of the Holy Royal Arch, followed by a Festive Board at round tables.

It was by any measure a great success. In our April meeting, we held a double exaltation of Bro. Jack Armitstead and W. Bro. Geoff Elsbury, and welcomed Ex. Companion Ian Walker, joining. Next year there are at least three more brothers who have sent forms. We were extremely pleased by the results of our Blue Table and are considering another one for next year! These companions came from Kingston Temple Lodge, one of the Chapter’s three sponsoring lodges. For more news go to @RBK4614.
